Is pinealon FDA-approved?

Not approved by the FDA. Products sold online as "research chemicals" aren't checked for purity, sterility or dose.

Overview

Pinealon comes from Vladimir Khavinson's group in St. Petersburg. Cell and rat studies suggest it protects brain cells from oxidative stress and low oxygen. Nearly all research comes from that one group, and there are no controlled human trials.

How it works

Researchers propose it lowers free radicals and may affect gene activity directly; this hasn't been confirmed independently.

How long does pinealon stay in the body?

Not established in people.

What it's studied for

Related: Dihexa, Epitalon, Cerebrolysin, SS-31 (Elamipretide).
